Tissot is one of the most widely known Swiss watch brands. It was founded in 1853 in Le Locle in Neuchâtel in Switzerland, and is today part of the Swatch group together with Omega, Longines and Hamilton among others.
The silver dial of this 1970's Tissot Seastar is in original condition. It has developed a nice and even patina over the years. It has an applied 'T' logo and is marked Tissot, Swiss, Seastar, Automatic, Swiss made. As with watches of this age in general, the T's around the 'Swiss Made' denotes Tritium, the radio-active material used to make the hands luminescent.
The crystal and case are in very good condition for the age. The case back is of screw-down design. The watch comes on a black leather strap with contrasting stitching and a Tissot deployant clasp. This is an elegant watch but it has still good weight and wrist presence.
It comes in its original blue velvet box which is in surprisingly good condition for a watch of this age.
