Stunning example of a classic watch, this self winding Genève is in absolutely beautiful condition. The serial number of this watch tells us it was manufactured in 1969.
The perfect white dial is in original condition, not repainted like many watches of this age, and still immaculate. Gold Omega logo, applied baton markers and gold hands. The dial reads Omega, Automatic, and T Swiss Made T, where the T's denote the use of tritium as luminescence.
The 20 micron gold plated case is in excellent condition with only minor wear commensurate with age, mostly noticeable on the crown and lug tips where the gold plating is worn from normal use throughout the years. The stainless steel case back is of screw-down design. The inside of the case back has lots of watch maker's initials in it - a sign that this watch has been regularly serviced throughout its lifetime.
The 565 movement which beats 19,800 times per hour is automatic but can also be hand-wound and there is a quick-set date function operated by pumping the crown rather than turning it.
The movement is timed in three directions and it gains approx. 10 seconds per day.
The watch comes fitted on a brand new black aftermarket genuine leather strap (see the last four images of the actual strap) and a gold coloured aftermarket buckle.
This watch comes in a high quality German made travel case and with a certificate of authenticity from Arlington watches.
