Charming vintage gold plated mechanical watch with in-house movement made in the USSR with a vibrating alarm feature.
It is full of character and wears well. These vintage Poljots have a generous thick gold plating. The case, although much smaller, bears some resemblance with the Super Compressor dive watches of the 60's. The movement is similar to what's found in the Memovox watches from Jaeger-LeCoultre.
One crown is for setting the time and winding the watch, the other one is for setting and winding the alarm, which goes off once the hour hand aligns with the little alarm indicator. A given conversation starter and a real treat for any watch enthusiast.
The beats at 18,000 A/h and has a strong tick. The watch gains approx. 15-20 seconds per day.
This is a vintage watch and while it has passed our testing and does keep time and has a good power reserve, it must be taken into account that it is a vintagewatch and its performance is not to be compared to modern quartz watches.
This watch comes with a practical high-quality German made travel case and a certificate of authenticity from Arlington Watches.
