Analogue or Digital? Why choose when you can have both?

Most analogue/digital watches that were designed back when the LCD displays started to come out in the late 1970's have a big analogue watch face with a small digital display at the bottom. This very cool mint condition Citizen from 1979 is quite the opposite  - it's more digital than analogue. Hence the name Digi-Ana as opposed to the more common layout - the Ana-Digi watches.

The watch has the follwoing features:

  • Alarm/hour beep
  • Chronograph
  • Two timezones
  • Light
  • Date

All functions work flawlessly. The push buttons are easy to operate, the alarm is audible, the light shines (in the past it was probably brighter, but remember that this watch is 40 years old), the analogue clock runs smoothly and can be controlled via the crown without problems. The display is free from stains, bleeding, or dead segments. The complete display works very well and has good contrast. The case is in very good condition for the age, as is the crystal.

This watch comes in a high-quality zipped and padded travel case from Beco-Technic and a certificate of authenticity from Arlington watches.
