This elegant and clean vintage Breitling dates to circa 1953 and has a centre second hand.
The ivory dial is in very good condition for its age. There is a small imperfection between the 10 0'clock marker and the centre, as can be seen just above the minute hand on image number 2. The applied gold numeral at 12 o' clock, the triangular markers at 3,6 and 9 o' clock and the applied dot markers in between are all stunning. It's a well balanced attractive dial. The beautifully shaped minute and hour hands show signs of graceful ageing.
The chrome plated case is in fantastic condition with only minor wear close to the strap on the front of the top lugs.
Note the curved shape of the lugs!
The stainless steel caseback is signed 'Bretiling' and '132 22'.
The Breitling signed 17 jewel movement is running strong. The stainless steel snap case back reads 658024 on the inside.
Fitted on a new black crocodile embossed genuine leather strap.
